cholesterol lowering diet 1
Day one of eat with me for a week. I am learning to lower cholesterol. I will begin today by posting everything I eat for one week. I will also let you know other things I do that are helpful. It begins on day 1 and ends with day 7. I know I am being watched so it will be difficult for me to cheat.
Join me if you like. If it is difficult for you, you can start with just breakfast for a few days then add lunch and finally, hopefully, dinner. If you do just one of the meals a day, you will be doing something healthy for your body and your well-being. Good luck to anyone who chooses to follow.
For those of you who need some good paleo diet recipes, these pages have many.
This is my first time to use the mandarin sunshine blend, but it sounded good. I am learning to be more creative. In the small bags are grapes and strawberries which I froze a few days ago.
In my container I have kale and grapes and now I will add strawberries and all other fruit.
Okay, looking yummy.
Ready to blend. Remember to add chia seeds at this time if you like them blended in and you can add freshly ground flax seeds. Always taste your fruit before add it to the container. Sometimes fruit looks beautiful but is sour or tastes bad. The last blueberries I bought were so sour I could not use them. The smoothie will only taste good if fruit tastes good.
kale or spinach (as desired)
1 cup frozen grapes (I used black, but your choice)
1 cup strawberries
2/3 cup cherries (not level for sure)
2/3 cup mandarin orange blend (frozen fruit)
1 T chia seeds
1 T freshly ground flax seeds
1 2/3 cup water
Put ingredients into blender container. You may add chia seeds before you blend or after. I like to add them after, because I love the texture. If you like smoother texture, blend the seeds with the other ingredients. That's it. So fast, So easy, Sooo good
For dinner, I had lentil soup. It had lentils, quinoa, celery, onions, chicken and seasoning.
I made chicken and dumplings for my family. It was such a plump little chicken that I was able to save a cup for my soup. I did not eat any dumplings though. They assured me the dumplings were very delicious. siggghhhh

3 T quinoa
